Dont know if this is just causing more pain to ADSL users in SA but I was just, out of interest, looking at some ADSL providers in Canada and I came across one that was offering 4mb Down, 512 Up with a 15GB limit for C$149.99/month = R789.92. I am sure there are cheaper but MAYBE one day things will get to that stage here. They also included charges for when you go over you Cap, C$3-C$4 per GB after that.

You can get 3 Mbps / 320 Kbps cable for C$45 a month... 6 Mbps / 640 Kbps cable for $70 a month... 3 Mbps / 512 Kbps DSL for $50 a month... The cable has no cap, the DSL has no cap either but any account that reaches 20 GB gets put on a 10 Mbps connection (so all the heavy users fight it out).

I don't know where you get your prices from but it is way off. :)

A Canadian. (I have the 6 Mbps cable connection.)

I got it from some Canadian website so as you say the figures are probably way off but what you say makes it EVEN worse....you get soooooo much more for so little. Cant wait for that sort of technology to get here.[:D]
