How bad are these speedtest results ??

I'm hoping someone can tell me if my line is extraordinarily slow as I have been having some connectivity problems with a service in Chicago I use regularly.

If I test with speedtest.net via the ping to a server in Chicago I get a ping of 764ms and a jitter of 616ms with no packet loss. I only have a 384 ADSL with Telkom and ISP is Mweb uncapped.

try running speedtest on a local server.i don't know how much jitter the average user gets on international but i know that local jitter is usually under 3ms

Thanks. I did try that and the results are great.

The problem is I do electronic futures trading and my broker is in Chicago.
For the last 10 days I have had very little international connectivity.

mweb has been having trouble for the past week or so due to some problems in London.speeds usually drop after 8PM for some reason where even browsing is limited.i usually get 200kb/s (when everything is running right)on my 4meg account so i suspect the speeds are going to be far slower on a 384 account.
