The computer I want to access is behind a WRT54Gv5 Linksys router which connects to iBurst. I want to connect to it and be able to remotely do some maintenance – File Explorer and Firefox mainly.

If we assume the following, how would I go accessing it from another computer:
iBurst IP as per modem – 41.408.102.50
Computer IP from router – 192.168.1.200
I have a Dynamic DynDNS account – jongi.dyndns.org

The computer is running XP SP2 and I will be accessing it from another computer running XP2 (and possibly Linux but we can save that for another day).

I use www.logmein.com and I can access my computer at my house from the office and it works great. I can also access my office computer from my house. The pc at my house use Iburst internet access.

Heh, was just about to suggest logmein too.

You can use remote desktop but logmein is a 1000% more user friendly and efficient if you ask me.
