Hello !

My employees and I save files on our web server using file Zilla Client. They are folders I need myself to only access but I can't seem to be able to put passwords on them. How do i go about this ?

I am assuming you want to password protect the folders that are now on the file server.. Assuming that you are using FilleZilla server for controlling filezilla client user accounts, you will need to create groups in FilleZilla server.. You give the groups permissions to the correct folders they are allowed to see and you assign the correct users to these groups.. The same process will need to be followed for any other FTP server software.. give us more details on your setup and we will see what we can do to help some more..

Linux user permissions. If you own/run your own web server, you can chown certain directories you don't want certain users to have access to etc. Whatever FTP server you're using will then adhere to these permissions (WASlayer assumes you're using FileZilla Server since you mention the FileZilla client as well, which is rarely the case in the real-world)

You can do this via CPanel if you're using that to administer your web server.

But to give you step-by-step advice and/or what you need to achieve this, we would need to know:

1) Server OS
2) Cpanel/WHM Installed?
3) FTP Server software (if not Filezilla on server AND client)
4) How much you're willing to pay for a tailor-made step-by-step guide for your specific situation

this

I have done it before and it is quite easy with filezilla server

if you are using a different FTP server, you'll need to follow the guidelines for that FTP server.
