How can I recover lost partitions ?!

My one drive is showing as RAW but I downloaded a tool called DMDE that detects the partitions on it. How can I restore the partitions ?! Please any help will be appreciated.

Yeah, he did a recovery for us last year. My dads HDD died.

Right now it seems that nothing is missing according to the tool and I am recovering the data to where ever I can find available space. I think a HP recover image format tool corrupted that drive so now R300 later I know what I will be doing the rest of the weekend....
 
There should be a way within the software to recover to recover the partition.
Or download some software that can recover it.
But usually it is just a case of rebuilding the partition table.
How big is the drive?
 
4TB, the software I got to recover it picked up the MFT and has all my data. Only thing is that it does not want to "restore" the partition. It wanted to do a recovery which means copying everything to another place. That takes time with this volume of data.

Ja, but the problem is... that the "restoration process" might stuff up something and you lose the entire partition.
This has happened to me before. Best to make a backup first. I've never done 4Tb though... gonna take you ages!
What kind of partition is it? GPT or what?
Have you tried the GParted LiveCD?

Use GetDataBack for NTFS and restore to a different drive.
 
backups is your bestest friend in all of the world, especially if you are missing around with *****e tons of data like 4tb.. invest in a secondary 4tb drive, which you plug in once a month, sync any new data or changes to it and then you store that drive back into a cupboard..
 
That whole part of "other drive" is the problem. Anyways, almost done with the restore to various drives that I could lay my hands on. Then I'll format the source drive and move it all back. Really a waste of time. The partitions and everything is there, it just seems it's does not see the one with data as a valid NTFS one.
 
Everything is back to normal. Copied an insane amount of data over the weekend, thankfully it was on USB3 so it was about 100mb/s

A: No, the main rule of data recovery is to not write anything to the damaged disk. Automatic fixes may cause irrevocable data loss. Human study is required before any such fixes. Anyway you need another medium to keep a backup copy if your data have some value.
