How can I remove paint from my car?

I arrived at work this morning, got out and noticed a number of green paint droplets on my bonnet. I've no idea where it came from as I washed the car myself yesterday morning and the car spent the whole day at home.

Any tips/ideas on how I can remove it without damaging my clear coat and paint?

That would be your first option.

If you polished your car yesterday a hard rub should take the paint toof too. If not, then first polish, then look at other options.

Stay away from solvents.
 
Just try normal Rally wax polish before anything else. Should come right off. If not, then try other options.
 
If you don't come right with the polish, I have used Benzine before without any damage.
 
If its really stubborn use some buff rubbing compound and some elbow grease, don't resort to solvents and stay away from the wife pot scourers!
 
Well, I got home and thought I'd just try a microfiber cloth soaked in hot water and it worked. Some elbow grease was needed but it came off. Strangely though, it didn't leave anything behind on the cloth as you would have expected to paint to do.

Maybe it wasn't paint.
Green droppings
Bird poo
 
Glad is worked. I was going to suggest using a claybar. This method normally removes most imperfections/tough stains before I polish/wax my car.
