How can I sue MTN?

How can MTN be investigated for illegally joining people to their premium services? Last night while chilling I received an sms from MTN congratulating me for joining MTN Gamer+. I didn't subscribe for that ish. 3 months ago they joined me to their dating service. I'm tech survey and I don't enter my cell number anywhere online cause I know you might join those premium services. So, I think MTN needs to be investigated. How much money are they making through this? Are we helping them to pay Nigeria?
 
Why don't you just ask MTN how you were subscribed?

Failing that, see a lawyer, that's how all litigation starts. Don't see why it would be any different with MTN.
 
Unless you are a multi millionaire don't bother they will bury you. What proof do you have anyway?
 
You not going to get far, you first sort the problem with MTN and obviously if nothing happens or you find yourself again subscribed then go to court

Like on the first attempt when joined me to their dating service, I dialled that number first and it said I'm not subscribed to premium services. To my surprise I'm subscribed on their side.

I kid you not... I've been into computers and living internet life since my late primary school. I know all about online scams, phishing, click bates, social engineering. You name them. I'm also an IT Engineer by profession. To start with, why would I join MTN Gamer+ of which I don't have games on my mobile? I play Xbox and always offline. I never type my number anywhere online. Never.

I don't have much. But from their side they'll have to give proof of my subscription source I believe. It's either online, via sms or something like that. Then we'll compare with my online activity and timeframe has to match. They should have that data or info. When you subscribe to any service, you get instant message to confirm. But I'm as serious as a heart attack, I wasn't even using my phone for hours. Suddenly I receive an SMS congratulating me for joining that service.

I'll try to contact them thanks. Reason why I'm concerned is because I'm not the only one affected. I hear people complaining about missing airtime. That's how it goes missing and that's how this people make extra profits.

you go to a lawyer to sue somebody, this is not rocket science

If you were Tech Savvy, you would also know that you don't need to type your number online... if you store it in a profile in browser for legit sites, some other sites can "steal" it, or you gave it to some physical person at some point and your number got around.

As for suing them, you're wasting your time, just unsubscribe from the things

I don't want their money. I wanna put an end to their dirty money making tricks. I'm taking them to ICASA and see if they'll investigate my case.

If there's my number out there, why would other sites steal it to enrich MTN? On the first incident my airtime went missing and I dialled *141*5# to find out if I'm subscribed to anything. There was absolutely nothing. The same as last weekend's incident. And when I call after finding nothing they tell me that I'm subscribed to whatever and they immediately offered to remove me. I'm taking them to ICASA. They should investigate my case. MTN must give them a source of my subscription and it should match with my online activity or something. They have should have that data. By the way, thanks for correction on savvy.
