How can I sync my Android phone with Outlook?

Hello guys!
I have issues with syncing Outlook contacts and notes with my Galaxy S7. I've tried using Smart Switch but it works when it wants, not when I need it. And when it works, it doesn't sync all the changes in contacts for some reason. I've tried reinstalling Smart Switch but it didn't work.
I'm looking for a way to sync Outlook contacts and notes with my Galaxy S7 through USB or Wi-Fi hotspot. Outlook.com cloud or Office 365 is not an option because I don't like using public cloud for my sensitive data.
Is there any software I could use to replace Smart Switch?

Outlook 365 doesn't make your data public. It's very much a private cloud. Contacts and calendars are hardly sensitive info anyway.

This. Get O365 or Microsoft Hosted Exchange. Being paranoid makes life much more difficult that it should be....

Thanks for your input, guys.
Still looking for cloud-free solution, but I think I would give a chance to O365 if there would be no good Smart Switch alternative.

You can get Microsoft Hosted Exchange with a 50Gb mailbox for R68 per month. A no-brainer really.

Well, what you are asking for is impossible. Is your email not on the internet to start with?

So, after a month of searches, I think I found a solution. The software is called AkrutoSync and it works like a charm. Here's a link: http://www.akruto.com/best-ways-to-sync-android-with-microsoft-outlook/
It can transfer contacts directly to Android contacts app and works via Wi-Fi network. The only bad thing was that it requires 3-rd party app to handle notes on Android. It costed me $35 which is far more expensive than a solution provided by MightyQuin, but paranoids always have to pay more :crying:

OWA? I only use OWA on my remote devices, be it android or home PC(either the linux or windoze machines) when used to access work emails.

Kinda makes me sad to see such a backwards solution being used. You're not making life any more secure. If anything it's less secure as you're entrusting information to two more third parties now.
