How can we stream sports?

Hey guys,

Been reading your thread from the beginning and I need your input and advice. So I've decided to cut off my DStv subscription, but before I do so, i obviously want to find an alternative ASAP. I'm more into sport, F1, golf & soccer specifically i.e. the EPL, LA LIGA, BUNDES LIGA and EUFA CL and pretty soon the WC.

I was doing a bit of Googling before I saw this thread and I come across NTV which seems to have all my sporting channels and more ON PAPER (not sure if they screen all matches or just a select few like they do on DStv) and my wife's too (movies, series, cooking channels - the whole shebang).

So now, I get to this threat and I start reading about IPTv. So I need to know the following :

1. What's better between NTV and IPTv, or maybe there's something else better than these two?
2. How can I watch these services easily on TV? Do I need to buy a set top box and add apps that will stream the services from NTV and IPTv?
3. What's the best IPS that will be best suited for the above and at what speed line? 4mb, 8mb, 10mb, 20mb?
4. Been flirting with that telkom Lit box? Will it work for point (2)?

Anything less than 10Mbps line speed is not suitable for streaming quality. And, even then, you could have a heavily contended line.

To watch from the internet your TV must either be a "smart" TV or you need to add a device like an Android box, Raspberry Pi, Apple TV, Lit, laptop,........

There are plenty of VOD and IPTV selections, but pretty much all of the legal ones are geo-locked so you will need a VPN to access the content. There are many free and legal places to get things like documentaries and there are lots of "other" ways to get content.

You seem to like soccer. Isn't all that available on the all the DSTV packages, even the basic ones? Would be cheaper than using legal streaming services.

Not premier league, it's just super diski which is something I think he isnt interested in

Also check out PTV Sport (It's an Android app with worldwide sport for free + includes HD).
 
This one was still the best I have ever used even on a 4Mb line - https://livewireplus.com/

They used to have free streams in SD but I see they now charge a heavy sum.

Edit: I remember testing a 3 day trial using airplay to Apple TV and quality was HD, just priceplan that put me off.

If they charge heavy for sd why is it still the best?

SD was free, HD you need to pay for.
I started on SD and it was instant loading times.
They where offering trials at the time before they cancelled free streams.
My trial lasted 3 days on HD and it loaded instantly and quality was HD something.
Out of all the apps I have used including iptv, this one worked the best.
