Hi all

Please see the below pic. Should one be concerned about this? Does it affect the car in any way, or lead to problems?

Is it repairable? I wonder, because it doesn't seem to be an easily detachable part like fenders, bumpers, etc.?

If you were buying, would you walk away?

I've seen this type of thing before, from driving off curbs that are too high, etc.

Thanks! :)

That just looks like a small ding on the rocker panel, which will not be a problem at all. The entire panel can be cut out and replaced anyway.

Absolutely no need to put you off the car.

Thanks. It's quite bad IRL, pics don't do it justice.

Good to know. The term 'rocker panel', too.

Go visit a exhaust fitment centre when they not busy . Ask them if it possible to pull it on a lift . Can then inspect easier take better photos

Would this be to inspect for any non rocker panel damage? Or are you suggesting rocker panel damage can be concerning if it's bad enough?

That is very minor damage. It might knock a few hundred Rand off the value of the vehicle, but the damage looks easily repairable

Looks like similar damage my car had when I took it from its last owner. Mine had a much bigger dent in it. It did not affect the car in anyway and I had it repaired a few months later. Its a minor thing structurally, more an eye sore than anything.
