Found this while trying to decide which prepaid package to go onto. I'm going to use Afrihost for my data and voice because of the 365 day expiry rather than MTN's 10 seconds.

I think the guys that draw up these plans must be a product of our great ANC education system.

Is it 99c per minuet or R1.20 per minute

R0.99 per minute. That's 1.65c per second when using most calculators. I din't know MTN minutes had 99 seconds in them.

Yeah the website is not always update when price changes happen.

If you are looking for cheap calls on MTN no matter the price plan then buy the monthly signature bundles starting at R35. It gives R45 rand value depleted at a rate of R0.79 per minute so the bundle basically give you a rate of R0.61 give or take to any network any time.

The National Time Association for Economic Empowerment has changed it from 60 seconds in a minute to 99 seconds in a minute. The bill was signed and passed last week.

That is so kind of them! I'm sure MTN appreciates that.
