How did you feel when you were about to root your Android device and how did you feel afterwards?

BQ: How did you feel when you were about to flash a custom ROM and how did you feel afterwards?

Before rooting, I was really scared because there was a chance of messing up and bricking my phone. Afterwards, I felt awesome. Like an Android genius. (event though it was a one click root) :D

Before flashing, I was even more scared because the chances of messing up was even bigger than that of rooting. My mom would have KILLED me if I bricked my phone. Luckily, all went well and the sweet style of 4.2.2 made it all worth it.

Do they all have the same ROM or do you use a different one per device?

lol ... all different! Rom is device specific, but I do have a few running the same type of rom like PA or CM or Omni or whatever else looks good. I dont have all the devices anymore tho.

I have PA on the Nexus 4 - just sold that, Omni on the Note 1 & 2 (gave the Note 1 to my mom). AOKP on the Tab 10.1, the HTC Desire is long dead (gave that to my niece). The Acer A501 is my brothers, that runs Thors JB Rom from TegraOwners. And the S3 is my sisters POS also running OmniRom.

My Nexus 5 is rooted, but decided to stay with the stock rom and modify it as I need with busybox & Xposed Installer.

please backup your EFS folder before rooting incase you lose your IMEI like I did. Took me several days of research to get that back

How'd you get that back dude? I've got my IMEI number written down somewhere, but how did you fix that?

Gotta admit, I was a little horny beforehand, but during the rooting I sorted myself out, so afterwards I felt pretty relaxed. Thanks for asking, OP...
