Im looking at buying a house soonish, and would love to have a solar setup when we move in,

So I was wondering how did you lot get your setups? Did you save up and pay cash? Take out a small loan? Add it to your bond? (How did you do that?)

any other options I havent thought of?

Versofy do installment-based options too (asset financed) since the kit has a lifespan and value.

I moved into a house with it already installed. Just needed to put it on insurance (very NB! as I've already had one claim on the inverter).

What happened to the inverter?

Phase 1 (Inverter, 8 panels + 1x 4.8kwh battery) 》 financed through bond
Phase 2 (8 panels + 4.8kwh battery) 》 savings

Sold my car bought 8x panels and 2x 1.2kw grid tie inverters

A friend sold his booze when its sale was banned bought similar system

Repurposed savings we had for a new kitchen into solar instead. Seemed more urgent.

That's not bad, is their interest rate fixed, one size fits all and are there no flexible terms in terms of duration?
Yep, whatever rate you get is fixed over the term. Your repayment won't fluctuate.

Not sure about how flexible the term is, will probably need to find out from their finance house (Merchant West)...
