Hi Guys
Give me some great ideas to mount my LCD on the wall ( Lounge ). Its sitting on a LCD/Plasma Stand ( dark wood colour stand ) but I want to raise LCD onto the wall. The problem is I do not want the cables running down the wall to the stand where my HDPVER and system sit.
I have the bracket for the wall mounting already.

Any ideas to make it look good on the wall.

Thanks
Vaughan

what abut those conduits u can buy at builders, looks better than cables hanging and u can paint it the color of your wall

For a permanent install, chase the cables into the wall... Use an angle grinder to cut an wide strip out of the wall. Glue some conduit pipe or cable trunking into the groove in the wall, and plaster over it, and paint. Bit of a messy job, but can be done over a weekend - just enclose the working area with plastic sheets (and masking tape) from floor to ceiling to stop the angle grinder dust from getting everywhere.

I put a 50mm pipe in the wall, ends behind the tv and behind the "unit".

Thanks guys, any more ideas that you may have seen. I saw one with a wood frame around the LCD . The frame was lower than the unit housing the sound system and HD PVER. So you could not see the cables. Wondering how I would mount the frame.
Thanks

+1 That would be the correct way of doing it.

You can also create a cavity to provide a outlet box with neat faceplate for the connectors etc.

Did mine this way, much neater. Make sure u have big enough trunking for any future wiring.
Another plus is it makes stealing your 46" LCD much more difficult with everything bolted onto the wall.
