How do I connect to an Access database using a connection string?

How do I connect to an Access database using a connection string? I have been struggle with this for the past couple of days. I have tried the following "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0; Data Source=|DataDirectory|\database.accdb;
Persist Security Info =True"; everything works fine when testing locally, but refuses to populate database when online

Make sure that the IIS_IUSRS has access to read/write to the database file/directory
