hello,

I want to move to mweb uncapped 4mb/s but i dont want to lose my @telkomsa.net email adress...
i would like to cancel contract, but keep the email on something portable that i can take with me to places.

how do i do this?

We did the same thing. Best is to go into a Telkom Direct store and you basically apply for a new email address, using the same form, but just put in the same address as you have now. They then send that through, they phone you after a while saying it is activated and then they change your username and password, then you can go ahead and cancel the data portion of the contract and they then bill you separately for the email address per month or annually...

You can access your telkomsa email address through webmail.telkomsa.net

thats awsum thanks man!
could i just leave the email setting in my Outlook 2007 the same? or will i be needing some changes

Yes, thats what will be happening but ATM i just cant...
i will set it up to forward all emails to my gmail and put it on my business cards etc...

then i will make the move!

Yeah, unfortunately it could take a while to move over to a new E-mail account.

Here's the best answer that I got on the forum with regards to your original post: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/227934-HELP-with-email

I've registered a .za.net domain for myself and setup Google Apps to catch all the E-mails sent to my domain. Registering your own domain and then doing the E-mail forwarding is one of the best options, since you can always move to a different E-mail service without having to change your E-mail address ever again!
