I am a self confessed ignorant when it comes to modding and racing cars, but I do love a car with some performance. I bought my Honda Civic VXi brand new in Jan 2007 for its styling and because I got an amazing price through a dealer who owed me a favour.

My question is: How do I get more performance out of this car as it seems really sluggish for my liking? I dont really care about devaluing the car as I did this the minute I drove it off the showroom and I got it for a bargain too.

Any ideas as to what I can do, where I can have it done and what it might cost? Based in JHB.

Thanks

Thanx for dissing my mustang by the way...Its weird that you would think the car is ugly.

Im not 100% sure what you can do, but I know EVERYTHINGS been done to the engine of a Vtecs.

The advice I gave about a jazz vtec which worked for a friend was to simply red line it to get the performance. They were much happier afterwards even though it's by no means a fast car, but it was faster after getting it past 5-6000 revs.

The Vxi is a great car. How much did you get off? More than 10k?

Im saving up for a Honda vTec at years end :D

Hoping to find a no mileage demo model for around R180k... (they had a few at the beginning of the year... but I rather wait so I can put a big deposit down)
