How do I know if Im using the BIS service or normal data when browsing the net?

Hi all

I got a BB 8520 and have the BIS service from MTN. Ive notice a big drop in my airtime and most of my data use was through the BB browser with it set to Internet Browser, Facebook app and the BB app store.

How do I tell if Im connceted through the BIS data plan and are there any other logos thats supposed to appear instead of EDGE?

how to tell if youre connected through blackberry bis

look in the right hand side of your screen you should have an gprs or edge , it should be in capital letters otherwise youre not using bis to connect. please note if you have a softlock on your phone then your bis will also be dectivated.

if you have a voluntary amount limit on your account , if you reach this amount , then no further calls can be made on this conract account. hope this info helps
