How do i store extra info about docs/photos in it.

Hello.

Well, i'm starting to add info about the documents (tiff/jpeg), photos i recieve. So for example a document i recieve in Polish, i get that translated into english and then i want to add the english version in it... is that done through exif? Or what is the best method?

Likewise just with old pics - there might be a short sotry about it and so i also want this embedded in the pic? Whats the best method?

I'm going to piggy back here if you don't mind...

If you right click a picture and go properties and on the second tab you type data in under comments, does it only add these comments on my PC or if I email it to someone would they also be able to see this info if they right click?

Lance, yep, i kinda wanted to know if there was any other suggested ways. Sometimes its quite a bit of comment that needs to be added (like a few hundred words).

Also, i seem to recall having probs with the comments section, but cant remember what it was, but just thinking i need to find a better method.

Why not create a pdf with the original scanned image one one page and the extra info on another?

for Word Docs... the extra information is stored in File Properties.

there is no default way to include extra information in a graphic file (photo)...

you have two options though... use a program like Google Picasa to store info about all your pictures... or...
