But for reference sake, this will only work on a single phase at a time.

Load gets attached to the top. Careful what gets connected to the thing, if you draw too much current through it you can burn down whatever structure its attached to. Rather get an electrician to put it in, and make sure its the right meter for the job

from mains switch take live and neutral to bottom. then top out to "load", I will prefer to go thru another mains, isolator type switch.

That meter is pretty awful (seen them give some very wrong readings before). Anyone fancy buying one of these bad-boys? (we have about 10 in stock right now, I think... I'd be happy to sell them for about the same price as that CBI meter!)

Also - as others have said, if you don't know how to wire it, then you are probably best getting an electrician. You really shouldn't be messing with this stuff if you can't follow the pretty basic instructions on the meter (I know it's written on there as we have one in our office that we messed around with to figure out why it's such a bad meter!)
