Had Telkom at my place the other day to come sort this out, no problem with my line apparently. How do I fix this crap? I play games online and I cant last a whole clan match for CS or DOTA at the moment.
 
Just spoke to ADSL fault department and there is no way in hell this is Telkoms fault, well that is what they tell me. Was told it is my router, even though I use it at a friends house all the time and have no problems. Then I am told it could be interference to do with a faulty microfilter.
 
Some ISP's do a 2-hourly adsl reset thing when you get close to your cap.
Maybe it's something like that?
 
try loging in with the guest account and check if it drops.. does you modem report loss of synch?
 
Well I tried something last night, I decided not to do what the Telkom guy told me and leave my system and router without doing anything. I told him on the phone that is was amazing how I have problems, I call Telkom, they claim they have done nothing wrong, and somehow my problem always fixes itself after talking to them.

I was told to turn off my router, disconnect my phone and microfilter from this line, all sorts of wonderful things, I didn't do a thing.

I have been connected for the last 11 hours with no problem.
 
22 hours and still no disconnection, I wonder what the problem was...
