How do you set-up the HD-PVR remote?

Just recently got HD-PVR 2 and now im trying to set-up the remote. There's a manual that came with it but it's useless. May you please help set up my remote, it's the multi-choice model A3 remote?

oh yeah forgot to mention one major detail. It works when the dial thingie is on 1 but only when we are close to the decoder, if Im sitting on my couch it doesnt respond??? Whereas I set the remote to control the TV on A and when i play around with that it works, regardless of the distant.

Do you have a plasma screen?

If you have a plasma screen, it might be interfering with the remote. Try switching the screen off and then see if the decoder responds from the couch.

It's not the PVR, I don't find them buggy at all (anymore)... I believe it's the plasma screen. ^above^

I have the original HD-PVR and its still ridiculously buggy.... If I browse the channels and push info, it will sometime jump back to the channel I was on, then changes channels ... eish So its nowhere close to being 100%

Something is interfering with the IR... to me, that is the only logical explanation.
