How do you "show" hidden folders?

I'm not stupid! ;)
If you read my above posts, I bought a multimedia player in which I loaded all my movies and photo's.
When you load it up on TV, you get :

Menu
Movie
Photo's
RECYCLEBIN$
TV Show's

Now why would I want that random file ruining my menu?:p
Hwnce I wanted to find hidden folders to delete that file, and note, this was in a media player, not a HDD I in my PC
 
i presume those are all sub-directories in a directory. what is the path if my assumption is true.
