So we're trying to buy especially potatoes and tomatoes, to avoid having to buy daily since we use these almost daily.

Onions I've managed to learn that if you hang the whole 7kg bag in the garage, you can just grab one whenever you need one

Storing things like potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage and green beans are a bit of a challenge to me.

Anybody have any tips for storing greens, apart from stuffing the fridge?

Potatoes you can leave in a tray somewhere dark and not warm...they go funny in the light. Don't refrigerate...they get very sweet somehow. Tomatoes I put in the fridge.

Vegetables and fruit do better with some space around them so they're not all crowded together...they seem to ripen to the point of rotting when they're clumped up.

I have those wicker kitchen drawers for potatoes and onions. Tomatoes and greens go into the crisper in the fridge.
