While we're at that, we can build a cable to the sun and have free power, and host farms on mars so that the billions of cows don't damage our climate.

That was really a sissy statement. One that indicates that others should solve the problem while you sit on your couch. Be realistic and start doing something...
 
No, I am not suggesting that others should solve the problems. Human behaviour is the cause of all the problems, and you and I are part of it.
We don't have a drug problem; we have a behaviour problem!
Teenage pregnancy is not the result of a virus, it is the consequence of specific behaviour! Gang warfare is a bahavioural problem! Even nuclear war is ultimately a behavioural problem! Our decisions built the bombs, and our decisions will eliminate them.
All of these problems are the result of actions that PEOPLE have chosen to take!

Anyway... thanks for stating the obvious and the impossible. Have fun with whatever you intend to implement. I'll stick to fixing my world first, and then the rest..

Actually, yeah, a lot of things are impossible.

Changing the nature of every human being on the plant is one of those.

It's like communism - a nice idea in theory, but it just doesn't work well when you take human nature into account.

Apparently you don't believe in spelling or grammar either? I do normally try not to be a grammar nazi, but if you want anyone to take you seriously on your first post (especially a post like this one) you might want to invest in some extra letters (and spread your capital letters out throughout the post, instead of using them all up at the beginning).

Well in all fairness 'sum1' is socially acceptable sms conversing and a large majority of the population use it these days to save having to spell out the entire word. Just as so many people on this website use "lol" or "rofl".
 
I understand what you are saying Moeras in regards to giving random people money hence why i think it's far more beneficial to commit the money/your effort/whatever you can spare, to a cause or charity you can believe in. Every little bit helps.

Socially acceptable by whom? If I get SMSes from people with spelling like that, I think they're retarded. As for doing it on a web forum - are they trying to save on electrons?
 
How on earth will we save the world if we cannot even stand together and agree on one single thing on this subject?
