How does Bridge Mode work?

Wireless "bridging" and "extending" is exactly the same thing.

Take a poor signal, boost it so you have better signal somewhere else, and you have an extra "poor/medium" hop to go through.

Unless you invest in a clever meshing system that uses multiple channels and multiple radios (such as Amplifi) to repeat the signal, a 2.4 Ghz to 2.4Ghz repeater will always "halve" the capacity.

Just use a cable, or or a powerline extender (and an additional AP) at worst if you cannot run a cable.

I'm posting here because I think bridge mode might be the answer.

I have an Edgerouter X, with connected AP. My network is/was all fine and dandy.

I moved to a new place, and today the guys came to connect me (Vodacom, I know. Only option).

They supplied a Nokia G-240w-c. This receives the Fibre cable, and provides wifi and Eth ports.

I want to connect my Edgerouter to port 1 on the Nokia.
Most settings on the Nokia are locked. Yup...
Is bridge mode enabled on my Edgerouter? Is bridge mode right for this situation?
