My daughter has recently started working and did her own purchase of a BB on Control Chat 100. She is now freaking out because she can only use the phone after 8PM. Any calls or SMS's before that will be added to her account and not taken off her 100 minutes.
I have tried to find out how it works but am unsuccessful so far.
Can someone please explain how Control Chat works.
Thanks.

Control Chat is a top up package, if she has control chat 100, I would assume she receives R100 airtime a month. Once she has used the R100 to make anymore calls or send sms etc, she would need to buy a recharge voucher.

The after 8pm you are talking about sounds like the Casual chat which is your run of the mill afterhours open contract.

Sounds like a Casual Chat contract

My apologies, you are correct.
Now how does Casual Chat work? Can she only use the 100 mins between 20.00 and 07.00 and all calls outside of that gets billed on her account?

Think of it as an off-peak contract, the 'free minutes' are used ONLY after 20h00 to 7h00 weekdays and during weekends (from 20h00 on Friday through to Sunday anytime of the weekend up until 7h00 on Monday).

If she calls during the day, before 20h00, on weekdays she will be billed separately outside of the 'free minutes'.

Hope that helps.
