How does iBurst change contract type?!

In 2008, I tried iBurst month-to-month option 1 gig package. It was a brilliant internet service for me at that time. Then 1 year later (Oct, 2009), I decided to sign 24 months Giga package (1gig + 64K uncapped).

Everything is great until December 2009 iBurst gave me a notice that my package has been immigrated to wireless 2 package which give me 1 extra gig but cancelled 64K uncapped. At the meantime, I also heard iBurst CEO Jannie Van Zyl promised the old contract holder may stay in the previous package. So I replied to iBurst with an email explaining I really would like to remain on the Giga package. However, no replies has been reached me afterall.

31st January 2010, I found my connect is no longer available. I then login to the iBurst Website and checked myiBurst contract type has been changed to Wireless 1 which I never ask to do so. So I called the iBurst at 011 6766 000 trying to figure out what is going on. And the consultant told me once the immgration has been done, it cannot be moved backward. But the problem is what I asked is keeping my package to Giga, I never asked to change to Wireless 1 package. And I am sure no one will do that (pay the same amount and just get yourself 1gig less).

All I want is change my contract back to Giga package. But I could not find my contract paper, but the registered email is [email protected]. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you!

It's the first time I hear about this! I never really check iburst-related correspondence as I am (was) also on a 1GB @ 1MB account with 64k uncapped afterwards, but your comment prompted me to log on and check it out! I have also been "upgraded" to a Wireless 2 account but without uncapped browsing at 64k, if I understand correctly?

I've also noticed that my contract renewal date is November 26, 2037 - in other words, 337 months. Is yours also like this? Someone isn't paying attention at the iBurst offices. I will seriously withold payment and insist on having the original package, as agreed upon in the contract, otherwise they may cancel the services. I am serious about this and willing to risk the legal battle.

I hope they restore your trust in them again best4pp.

Everyone has been "Upgraded" and yes, the 64 kbps will end at the end of February. (You can still use it this month)

That's a glitch on the system, we've been told that the iBurst "engineers" are aware of it and working on it.

I would also remove your email, spammers will take advantage too.

The 64k uncapped benefit on the 1GB account was the thing that convinced me to sign the contract with iBurst. Now that it has been removed, it feels like I have been robbed. I don't think I'll renew my contract with them again, unless it takes a turn for the better again.

If I were them I would upgrade these accounts to 3GB at least otherwise they will lose the last of their faithful customers.
