how does one connect to the internet without using the dashboard software

Is it possible to connect via modem using Huawei K3772 modem, without using the dashboard software. i think one needs to change the IP to 192.168.0.1 but i dont know how to do it
any ideas?

If you have the dongle's drivers installed just use the normal windows dial up connection thingy. Select your modem and use *99# as the number to dial
