Hi friends
This discussion started in another thread, but to keep it on topic I made this one instead.
So I have a lvl48 combat rogue... I quest with a mage and use my stunlocks to sort out mobs 6-love.
For NPC's, I normally open like this:
Distract, cheapshot, CS/SSx2 (I forget which one its called), Kidney shot, CS/SSx1, gouge ... and by that time my mage has killed the mobster - if not, I finish it off with backstabs if the mage pulled enough aggro. So PvE isn't a huge problem...However (comma) I struggle immensely during PvP to kill anyone (aside from hunters when I blind their pets) ... unless I catch them by surprise, I normally lose.
Right now I have the dreadblade dagger of the tiger as my mainhand dagger (for backstab) and the phantom blade as my offhand sword. This is probably terrible, but I need to sort out my fighting skill. I'm hoping to get the thrash blade in the next few evenings though, after doing mauradon.
I'm trying to get my dual-wield sword fighting up, but don't have 2 worth while swords yet... besides, how do you compensate for backstab?
Any ideas on how you fight? I'm also curious about who still uses combat spec rogues after getting to lvl70. I'm wondering if subby isnt a good idea ... how does it compare to combat/assassination?
