Dentist drills start at 40k.

How does one choose drill ?

Point your finger at one :p
I had a thread about this not too long ago. I eventually settled on Bosch electric drill + a small drill bit set. Total was about R1000 (eBucks made it R400).

It'll work.

Best for concrete (and also nice for porcelain tiles, if you start with a 4mm pilot), but you can use normal bits with an adaptor. Be aware that it's a 3 mode drill, ie, there's a hammer only function. If you're using this function (with the supplied chisels), make sure to apply the force axially - trying to pry stuff out with this drill will wear down the tool holder, and it's not cheap to replace.

I have a dozen drills, each with it's own strengths and weaknesses. What do you want to use this for?

Think i paid around R200 at builders for those 'first to come to the front' gets this drill special.Ryobi, hammer action. It works well for concrete.
