So around 14 months back I come home and there are Telkom guys walking around the my complex in Northriding, persuading us to sign up for 20mbps ADSL2+ - which I decided to try.
First night Speedtest / SAIX test shows a real world speed of 17mbps and I get 2MB/sec when downloading - very happy. 3 months later this is 16mbps .... then 15mbps ... then 13mpbs .... and this morning 12.3mbps (lowest I've ever seen). While I'm still happy, I've lost 5mbps in just over a year.
Could this be congestion?
Does this just go indefinitely?
In the time my sync speed has dropped and my max speed has increased, where most other are reporting speed increases.
Downsteam
Current Rate(Kbps) 18431
Max Rate(Kbps) 24848
Noise Margin(dB) 7.8
Attenuation(dB) 23.5
Output Power(dBm) 18
Upstream
Current Rate(Kbps) 947
Max Rate(Kbps) 947
Noise Margin(dB) 15.9
Attenuation(dB) 12
Output Power(dBm) 11.5
