How far is it Telkom?

I am a bit confused as to how much of my ADSL is provided by Telkom regardless and how much I could swap to another ISP eg Mweb (but if you know better ones...)

You guys always seem to complain about Telkom's ADSL, do you mean Telkom ISP or Telkom Phone Company.

Telkom provides the ADSL connection, whether you use Telkom, MWeb, or whomever, as ISP, doesn’t matter. And they'r nor really good as ISP either, I'll be moving to a new ISP soon.

well i find mweb the best as i have dled way over 3gb each mont i never get capped since i got adsl and my adsl speed always above 50k nomatter what time of the day

That was the point of my question - whether switching to Mweb was faster than Telkom ISP.

It does not matter what ISP you use. All ADSL connections goes through Telkom. Telkom just re-sells ADSL accounts to MWeb and other ISP's. Telkom have 100% control of ADSL.

So it doesn't matter with what ISP you go. I think Telkom is probably the cheapest, but they can be the cheapest because they have 100% control of it.

To my knowledge the ISP's laid a complaint against Telkom about this because they just released ADSL with hectic secrecy with the minimum info to ISPs. I believe there are some lawsuites or debacle or something against Telkom regarding this at the moment if memory serves me correctly.
