How good is Cell C??

Howdi. this is not broadband related really. I am currently with vodacom(telkom) but am trying to get away from them with all my might...

The problem is that i only ever hear bad things about MTN and even worse things about Cell C. The website has not made me think any more highly of them either.

What do you guys reckon? Those of you with Cell C- whats it been like? Problems? Support? Network coverage?

Also, does Cell C offer any kind of sms bundles a la Vodacom and MTN or is it a flat 80c per sms no matter what?!

Any comments would be much appreciated!

Voda for the win,

Sure they're part of Telkom, but not run anything like Telkom, family on CellC & MTN have had loads of hassles, but please, stay away from CellC, my parents have had loads of issues ranging from technical -> billing with CellC

Don't know if you'll be reading this, but I've been with CellC for 3-4 years now and had no problems with billing or tech stuff. There service is great, they phoned me to hear if I have any problems!!!! They're behind a bit, technology wise, but they are gaining!

My upgrade is soon and I'm staying! Getting something with EDGE!

Cellc`s network is no as big as vodacom or mtn , but never the less just as reliable or maybe even better in terms of coverage.
Cellc has one of the best radio networks that i know and as far as i am concerned vodacom has been spending so much money on the hsdpa 3g network that there gsm network is not that great any more , ok we all know that the days of gsm is going out the door as 3g calling will take over eventialy , but till then we as consumers still need to rely on gsm services.

I am cell c and never had any problems with them guess it differs from person to person... also had never problems with vodacom

only with mtn thou...

I am gonna stick with VC for the time being. IMO they are still the best out there for me. Family TopUp and 500SMS bundle is just what i need...

Some people have issues with CellC, I have never had anything bad worth mentioning.
