How hackers are making AI models bad at math

Don't know, if it is because they are hackers.

I didn't understand an afrikaans maths question of my 6th grader so I copied and pasted the question into chat gpt to see what they meant. Explanation was sound, but their calculations were wrong which I picked up immediately.

Why not raise the child as a bilingual/trilingual so that they can explain their burning question to you again in your language(s) of preference?

Maffs in English is too easy, starting them off in Afrikaans and then for high school in Mandarin, as taught my chairman Mao himself.

Where's the hacker? I don't see anyone being a hacker in the article

Where is the smart person. I don't see any smart person here. You do know "hacker" while a slang term, the term has evolved in the past few years and the definition has broaden considerably, it doesn't describe as singular activity. Manipulating a device, software ect to do some thing it wasn't suppose to do, is fundamentally "hacking". Just because it wasn't done, with criminal intent, or by means of illegal activity, or a network breach, doesn't make it any less of a "hack".

If you are old enough and played games, the days before every thing was digital, you at some point needed to edit, change settings, even add additional lines, to config or ini files to get it working, there has been a few times that required replacing files entirely, even on occasion having needed to use a game extractor to get some files, even at the lowest level that is still a form of "hacking". Many of the older folks would tell you about deamon tools and no cd patches and stuff, and sure you are only the end user of said modification, it is still a form of "hacking".

Thank you for enlightening me. And it's Daemon Tools, not deamon tools.

AI is a useless technology from mainly a useless generation. It will die off in future.

Nope. Many more companies now banning employees from accessing and using it. Good thing in my opinion too, because soon people may become just as moronic as AI itself.

Oh so much wow that's so weak.
If I want a language model to give an incorrect response I can just ask it to do it and it will.
