How hard is DSTV trying to alienate it's client base??

So moving the goalposts.

MChoice getting desperate over their churn.

I don't know if the loss of a couple of MyBB users are going to do much to them.

I guess some people cancel because they just can't afford it any more.

I wonder what their churn really is ?

I would if Telkom can take less than 3 months and counting, to install a line at my place. Then there's still the question of the app - my WDTV doesn't have a Sky Sports app, and I'm not sure of a media player that does. Not keen on XBMC as I like my setup the way it is...

If you enjoy paying that amount of money for dstv that's your choice...all I'm saying is that there are cheaper, viable alternatives.

Although yes, Telkom is equally as useless as "multi" choice.

Access fee will be R80 from the 1st April.

Well it cost me a beer but I have now got my neighbour's dstv-premium-plus-pvr-access-fee account set up for streaming.

He was more than happy to let me use it as he has no use for it whatsoever. I just want to watch the 20 F1 races this year.

Happiness.

I wouldn't be surprised if Monochoice implement measures down the line to outlaw this usage of someone else's smartcard on the Supersport website. Autocratic scum! Get mad just thinking about them

That did occur to me. How do you match an ip address to a street address? :wtf:

Perhaps they'll send out questionnaires: "Are you being honest with us?"

I think that what will happen is they will limit the devices that can access the streaming.... also only one at a time.

Have you considered sharing DSTV with your neighbour ? Like having a extra view and sliptting the cost ?

I want to do this with my neighbour

Let's get one thing straight. You are not DSTV's customer.
You are a cash cow.
Their real customers are their advertisers.

Small problem of a road in between us...

This I think they already do. I remember trying to connect to a tennis stream once while a mate was already watching. Told me that it was already in use "by device LG....."

Absolute bull****. I dont have a pvr, I have a dual view decoder, and been a premium subscriber for years. Now these clowns want to remove sevices from my Premium account that are not related to my decoder. My streaming via ADSL is not sent via the decoder, nore the soinal to my walka. This should not be allowed. If they are forcing the pvr on users then the device should provided free of charge.

The other issue the pvr does not offer the dual view option and then you have to piggy backm the dual view deconder onto the pvr, wtf?
