Since 1 September I have noticed this degrading on with my broadband service, anyone agree disagree, how did it change for you since your install date. What could you do that is now no more? Items like the loss of your business data volume, Games not playable, etc.

-International bandwidth was throttled to be totally not usable. Best effort service is the excuse and International bandwidth overload witch proved to be rubbish
-VoIP is shaped to be not functional in most cases unless additional services is bought
-Telkom kills P2P peering networking with shaping and blames illegal downloading as one reason as well as high bandwidth usage, which we were paying for anyway.
-Download speeds is throttled to a point where the system performance is below what is purchased
-Per gig billing were introduced where all data transverse over the Internet link cost the same overcharged prices, this includes the national bandwidth now at international pricing.
-The 3 Gig hard caps is introduced to enable disconnections if this is exceeded, forcing me to purchase more data capacity to get to the local content like e-mails and local news or information.
-Telkom advertised services or advantages like Video streaming, Internet radio, picture downloading/uploading, is now unaffordable
-Line resets every few hours. Where I used to be logged on sites for long periods, until I diconect, I end up frequently have to log on again and again.

TELKOM promises in ADVERT “Download life” on the contrary states !

? nobody affected. The more info or experiences posted to read here, more pressure is aplied to TELKOM

My ADSL connection definitely does not work as well anymore as it used to. Just to give a few examples:
- Yesterday, I had to call my parents in Belgium over a regular phone instead of using Skype as Skype was completely unusable
- I cannot listen to International Streaming audio anymore as the quality has become very inconsistent and there are always interruptions
- Browsing international sites does often not seem to work well: often images appear to be missing from the page
- Some sites do not work well anymore because they check whether someone else is already logged on. Although this is not the case, the site detects two connections - SAIX is playing some funny games with proxies.
- I cannot download new Linux distributions anymore as I don't have the cap available.

And then of course, there is the fact that the cap has gotten so ridiculously low that "broadband" becomes a completely foreign concept.
