Speedfan is showing the flame icon because you probably haven't set the temperature ranges you want the flame icon to appear for. Try digging around (I haven't used speedfan in a long time) till you find an option to say when to warn you about excessive temperature.
Someone who uses speedfan help the guy with more precise instructions, asseblief.

Just installed it on my laptop for you.
In Readings, hit configure:
In the temperature tab, select the GPU, at the bottom there is desired temperature and warning temperature.
You can adjust everything to your liking, then click okay. Hit automatic fan speed in reading for speedfan to overrule your BIOS settings on what the temps should be, though there should be no need.
Speedfan can't seem to read my laptop's GPU temperature, as it's currently not being used, only kicks in when I game.

Adjusting the warning temp is fairly easy in Speedfan, having the speed change due to temp variants not so much
That's why i suggested it so he can also setup custom fan profiles for the gpu.
