Wanted to make this a poll but couldn't find the option for it...

As the title asks, how important to you are the additional features on a DVD/Blu-Ray release of a film? Do you consider them a nice bonus that's completely optional, or do they have some kind of an influence in what you buy?

I love going through the additional content on films I've enjoyed, and I wound up cancelling my pre-order of "The Man from Nowhere" just a few days before its release when I found out all extras found in the US version were removed for the UK/R2 copy - I just couldn't justify paying a lazy distributor full price, especially when I could get the film from Amazon.com for around the same price.

Keep your hands off my extras. I love watching them. Can't wait for my copy of The Lord The Rings extended edition blu-rays with all new extras.

Depends on the title, two blu-ray titles that come to mind with exceptional special features are the band of brothers set and avatar collectors edition, worth their price just for the features alone.

Depends on what they are. Most are a complete waste of time but sometimes there are a few nice documentaries etc like the last "Star Trek" movie Blu Ray.

I normally don't have the time or patience to listen to directors commentaries etc. The Simpsons are a notable exception, the commentary on them is awesome, but I wouldn't give the slightest if they're not on there.

Extra's not so important, extended/theatrical versions however sometimes are awesome! (Aliens as an example).
