How is the AppScene?

Some are good some are not. Same as other platforms. Only games for Blackberry do suck (when compared to iphone) other than that you'll find an app for nearly anything but most are not in Blackberry App World (stores like mobihand are more comprehensive) and lots of free apps all over the net.
 
Oh k cool, would you say stuff like live updates via push are quite common?
 
It allows you to pull all the headlines from any site and easily access the full story (updating as often as you like).
Viigo goes further giving you nearly instant access (literally seconds) to a text version of the story (you can always go to the browser if you want pictures). It has alerts for stories you're interested plus it does the weather, sports, social networks. RIM bought off this app and apparently it will be directly integrated into OS6.
