How load-shedding hurts small restaurants on Uber Eats

Only thing hurting them is the prices on MrD and Uber eats:ROFL:

R150 menu item changes to R200 and then you still have to pay delivery and Tip. Gtfo
This is very true.
I used to use uber eats once a week or so but these days the prices have become prohibitive and I'm not just talking about inflation. If you order a Pizza once you factor in Uber markup, delivery fee plus tip the price is double what it is if you drive to the shop. It's nuts.

This.
Getting a new home loan quickly put an end to my days of ordering in without thinking.
I've noticed the food portions from a lot of places I used to order from are also dismal these days. Chinese was the cheaper option but now when you order a pork chow faan you're basically digging through a mountain of rice to get to the four pieces of pork hidden in there somewhere.

I even lost about 5Kg's in 5 weeks since now I'd rather make something or go on a small fasting session if I'm not willing to drive or make something. Ordering just isn't an option anymore and I'm all the better off for it.

No air fryers are doing that. Stopped using Uber eats and paying a markup + service fee + delivery fee tip when I got my Philips airfryer.

My air fryer budget had to go to an automated pet feeder this month.
Still not happy about it. So much so that I'm considering joining the cats at the feeding bowl when the schedule kicks in.

I now reserve Uber orders for exceptions/convenience or when they have specials that either negate the markup to some extent or they have a legitimate 2 for 1 special.
