How long a data bundle lasts on Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, and Telkom

ICASA's End-User and Subscriber Service Charter has been implemented for just over a month now, with a last deadline looming on 12 April 2019.

This deadline was extended to provide operators with additional time to implement opt-out notifications for voice, SMS, and data depletion - as well as out-of-bundle usage requirements.

Data should not expire if it expires then it has to be exponentially cheaper.

It is the cheap price, you should see what they’d charge for unexpiring, you wouldn’t buy it.

Still cannot believe why data expiry was implemented by sane decent people.

Imagine if Engen petrol expired after 2 months - we all understand this is purely ridiculous and yet the concept of expiring a data product that you fully paid for up front was conceived and implemented.
Only insane people or criminals with an intention of exploiting people would consider this.

Clearly none of the execs in cell company's are sane decent people.

You can get data that does not expire but you will pay 10x the price you pay now.

If petrol for some reason expired in two months it will be half the price you pay now.

You will still complain.

The problem is not data that expire, but data that is stupid expensive that give one no other choice but to buy data that expires.
