How long did you wait...?

I'm curious to know what the longest anyone has waited for ADSL is.

I placed my order on 19 October 2005, and I'm still waiting, although I'm continually promised that the light at the end of the tunnel is close.

Applied February 2005, cancelled end of august 2005. Got really fed up, we now have Sentech. 2 Hours and we were up and running.
 
My friend's dad owns a farm, he says they pay like 30 grand a month for internet costs on ISDN lines, he tells me they ordered ADSL about 2 years ago. The farm's in the boland winelands in Paarl.
 
ADSL in 1 Week!!!

A friend of mine stays in Dainfern, he had his ADSL installed in 1 week from the time he applied!!! I applied for mine today, will let you all know when it is installed.
 
applied march 2004, installed sept 2004. 6 months, and the previous owners of the house had ADSL until the day before we moved in.

Telkom spent 3-4 months trying to convince me that the area did not have an ADSL exchange...
 
I feel bad...mine only took two months. But even that is ridiculous. I ordered it 6 times and sent in 7 complaints.
 
ordered mine october 2004 had it installed 1 week later :cool:
 
Took 7 months, applied waited and waited. After many questions they informed me I didn't have ports on the exchange, this was after they told me there were ports. I tried to cancel, they said they had to put me through to another department. I then put the phone down and thought I could wait a little longer. 2 months later I phoned and was told that I cancelled. It was a nightmare!
 
Applied on a Wednesday morning and got it the same week Sunday round about 22h30
