How long does it take to upgrade your line ?

I was just wondering how long it takes telkom to upgrade a dsl line. I have just applied to upgrade from 192k to a 384k.
 
Week if you keep bugging them. They just need change the settings on the DSLAM ...

In my experience they'll only charge for a downgrade.

yip the policy is only for downgrades... i did not get charged.
 
Upgrading / Downgrading is relatively simple... They promise to do the upgrade within 3 working days, but two weeks is more realistic. 12 Working days.
 
Yes it says they will only charge you for a downgrade. If they do charge me its going to be another month of fighting with telkom.
 
Took them 2 months to upgrade my line.
 
they upgraded my line about a month after i ordered the updrade, then after four months they discovered that they werent charging me the new tariff for the upgrade so they downgraded it! good riddance anyways coz there really wasnt that much of a difference (went from 512 to 1024), only difference came when i was downloading really large files or many files simultaneously. IMO, DONT upgrade!
 
512 to 1024 - they said 3 days took them 3 weeks, after a week and a 1/2 that nothing happened we phoned them and they spun a story about "that they must do a physical upgrade on our cables..." huh!?
