How long does it take you to get to work/varsity?

I was a bit unhappy about traffic and how long it took to get to work, but that got me thinking that I might be ungrateful as it might take other people a lot longer.
I do the kiddie run for two kids to school/creche and then to work. Home, school and work are in three different areas. Total distance maybe 7 km's and it took me 26 mins.
How about you (distance, time it takes, stops, etc.)?
 
Only takes me 5mins (postgrad student in uni town). But I know people who drive 60km between CPT and Stellenbosch every day, and others who go from suburbs into CPT which easily takes 40-90mins depending on conditions. Your commute sounds very normal to me.
 
16km took me about 50 mins today :(

About 15 minutes to do the 9.5km to work in the mornings, and 20 minutes on the way back home due to traffic using a car.

Using a bike I would imagine I could cut it down to about 10 minutes in and 10 - 12 minutes out. And according to Google, walking would take me just under two hours to complete.
 
42km each way - 1 hour in the morning (I leave home at 05:30) and about 1:15 in the afternoon (I leave between 15:00 and 15:30). Traffic is such a monumental waste of time.

You are not stuck in traffic. You are traffic.
 
24 Kms - normally do it off peak takes about 30-35 minutes . Peak its about close to 2 Hours I think haven't done that trip in peak traffic in years.

Less than a minute, sadly. Long walk to Short walk from freedom to my workstation at home.
 
Used to drive from Pta East to Randburg every day for 15 years... Got tired of doing the 'Jozi two-step' and moved closer to wok. Now it takes me about three minutes in heavy traffic. A tank of Diesel lasts me about 6-7 weeks whereas I used to fill up once a week...
 
30 - 35 mins to travel 17 km in the mornings.

Afternoon can go up to 40 mins and all due to a stretch of road that is about 800m long. On bad days said road is a disaster. I've once taken 30 mins to travel those 800 m. City decided it was a good idea to greenlight two Chinese markets on either side of the road and said road only has one lane in both directions. Chaos with taxis, pedestrians, cars and trucks entering and exiting the markets. The entrances are also about 50 m from the intersection, so bonus points when the traffic to and from the markets jam the intersection.
 
honestly about 20 min, live about 15 or so odd KM from work, and have ZERO traffic (all going in the opposite direction)
literally won the lotto with my current jobs , have worked in places with commutes of 60 min in heavy traffic over gillolies
 
I do PTA to Woodmead so about 40 min. I listen to podcast and audiobook makes the traffic better. Cant change that but can make the situation better.
 
30 minutes if I leave the house at 7AM, 15- 20 minutes if I leave the house at 7:30AM
 
9km trip to work. 10 min in the morning. 15 min in the afternoon. This includes creche drop off and pickup at school which is near home.
