Hey!

Been almost 2 months now waiting for the seller to provide the certificate and I'm kinda getting antzy.
Should I be worried that it's taking this long and usually how long does it take to get that sorted out?

Depending on the size of the house a few hours if everything is as per standard

Something is wrong.

Its quick. I had to force a seller in the past to redo the gas compliancy because he couldn't find it. The same would apply to electricity compliancy.

Don't be too complacent though when you get this certificate. I've bought a house in the past which had a compliancy done but I had to replace and repair countless electrical issues afterwards

I got mine almost immediately when I signed the docs with the lawyers. Something is definitely wrong.

I'm guessing just as long as it takes to get hotwings :D

Have you had an electrician over yet?

If not I suggest you put pressure on the seller to get an electrician out asap as you need to get the certificate. You get it the same time after the inspection.

I had mine done in a couple hours. 4.5 bedroom, two out buildings, pool, lapa, etc.

Maybe the sellers hoping the transfer goes through so they can disappear.
