How long does Vodacom Self Rica take

Bought a Vodacom pre paid sim today, as I need a new sim for a gsm tracker for our cat. Got home, and worked through the Self Rica steps through the new crappy vodapay app (why do companies keep making their apps worse), but that didn’t work, as it kept saying the photo of the ID did not match the ID number entered. So then had to do it through the website, which worked fine, but it’s been more than an hour now, and no activation sms or anything, and the sim still isn’t active.

First time I have done this that it hasn’t been pretty much instant, and I can’t set up the tracking device till I know what the new sims number is….

No, it’s easier to buy an “illegal” already rica’d sim from the Pakistani shops. Which is what I will do tomorrow morning.
