My 9000 lasts 1.5 days max.
I have 2 colleagues with 9700's. They changed their screen brightness to 10% and network to 2G and both report batteries lasting much longer- up to 3 days. They switch to 3G to browse the net or when tethering.

I'm getting 2 days easily now even on 3G mode with fair/lowish usage.
