How long to keep a car for?

Had my golf 5 for six years now will keep it for s few more I think, or till it starts to cost me more to fix it than to replace it. Hope that's not to soon though.

There is absolutely no problem with that, just don't expect to get most of your money back at the end of the period.

I feel the same!
But when it comes to making useful cars I have nothing against VW, had some pretty good service from their cars, but nothing else from them is nice.

IMO you keep your car until such time as you can afford a new one. And then you buy a new car, out the box.

Hi Mighty P I have just gotten my car and it is now fully paid it is only at 8000KM and I plan on keeping it for as long as I can while I save and invest for other goals in my life. It has now been 9 years and do you still have the same car and if so how has it been any issues and any advice you can give on someone to make sure their car lasts as long as yours has?
