How long to upgrade/downgrade existing ISP package (telkom ISP)

I am currently on a 2mb uncapped package and would like to downgrade to a 4mb 20GB softcap. how long does this change take if i have to phone today?

Can anyone advise if there is any charges for downgrading on telkom adsl, leaving the country for some months so this seems logical? Sure they can answer that question on 10210 but waiting times the past week has been an hour +...
